About the day
Registration and refreshments will be from 10am until 10:30am.
After the conference, delegates are invited to attend Universities Lodge No.5461 for an Initiation ceremony where our Immediate Past Chairman will be in the Chair.
The cost of attendance to the conference only is £20 per delegate which will cover registration costs, lunch and refreshments during the day.
For those wishing to stay for the Lodge meeting afterwards the cost will be £38 to cover the conference fee and the festive board.
The theme of our conference is: Enhancement:
In our bid document we announced that the theme of our conference would be enhancement. We define this as the deliberate steps that we can take to improve the Masonic experience for new and young Freemasons.
In line with our Club President’s 7 point plan we have divided this theme into three clusters: standards, events and progression. Over the course of the day you will have the opportunity to attend break-out sessions that fit within each of these three clusters. There will be two plenary ‘feedback’ sessions during the day to share group discussions with the conference at large. In addition, there will be a key note speech after each plenary session to guide and inspire our discussions.

Who should attend?
NYMCC 2018 welcomes delegates from each of the established and developing clubs from across the country to join us in Cardiff. Registration will be closed to committee members of NYMCs or representatives from provinces without an NYMC for an initial 2 week period. Thereafter registration will be open to NYMC members on a first come first served basis.
Getting to us
No matter how far you have to travel, we’re confident that you will be able to get to us with ease. We have deliberately chosen to host the Conference in Cardiff—Wales’ Capital City and the most accessible place within the Province.
CARDIFF AIRPORT is just 12 miles from the centre of Cardiff, in the Vale of Glamor-gan. A direct rail link connects the airport to the Cardiff Central train station, in the city centre.
CARDIFF CENTRAL TRAIN STATION is Cardiff’s major train station that takes South Wales’ main line right into the centre of the city. It is one of two hubs of the city’s urban rail network that will bring you right where you need to be with comfort and ease. The Masonic Hall is a 12 minute walk from Central Station or a 5-10 minute taxi journey. Alternatively you could take a connection train to Cardiff Queen Street which is just around the corner from the Masonic Hall.
CARDIFF COACH STATION is currently undergoing renovation and will be opening in the Summer of 2018. The new station brings transport to and from the city to one Central Square and just in time for your visit! But if it isn’t ready in time for the conference, don’t worry, the temporary coach station isn’t far from us!
